The deposition of Dayalu Ammal, wife of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) chief M. Karunanidhi, as a prosecution witness in the 2G spectrum case trial will be recorded by the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) on October 28 at her residence. M. Gopal, CMM, was appointed commissioner by a special CBI Court in New Delhi last month to record the deposition.

The order followed a direction from the Supreme Court, which on August 22, refused to exempt her from deposing as a witness in the case. However, it exempted her from personal appearance in the special court.
