The Central Bureau of Investigation on Thursday submitted in a Delhi court a second list of witnesses, including former chairman of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) Nripendra Mishra who would be summoned and examined in 2G spectrum allocation scam case.

The agency, in the list submitted to Special CBI Judge O.P. Saini, has given names of 12 witnesses to be summoned from December 2 to 23, 2011.

Besides Mr. Mishra, who was TRAI’s chairman when the Unified Access Services Licences (UASL) were issued in January 2008 during the tenure of former Telecom Minister A. Raja, top officials of DB Realty, Etisalat DB Telecom, Reliance Communication and Reliance Telecom have been named in the list.

Rajender Singhi, GM (commercial) of Reliance Communication, is scheduled to depose on December 9, 2011 while director of Reliance Telecom Satish Seth would testify 10 days after.

Vijender Kumar Sharma, vice-president (Regulatory) of DB Realty, would record his statement on December 7, 2011 and Vinod Kumar Budhiraja, chief regulatory officer of Etisalat DB Telecom, would testify on December 23, 2011.

The name of Aseervatham Achary, alleged associate of Mr. Raja, is also in the list and he is likely to testify on December 13, 2011. Besides them, some bank officials would be summoned to depose in the case.

Some of the witnesses, whose names were there in the first list, would also be summoned again as they could not testify earlier due to paucity of time.

So far, five witnesses, including A.N. Sethuraman, Group President of Reliance, have recorded their statements in the court.
