Swan Telecom promoter Shahid Usman Balwa, an accused in the 2G scam, on Friday met Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde seeking his intervention in expeditious disposal of his RTI application.

However, Mr. Shinde refused to oblige Mr. Balwa stating that if there was an enquiry against him, he could not intervene.

The Minister asked the businessman to come back after March 29 as he would be out on a tour to his constituency.

Mr. Balwa, who was arrested in March 2011, has been on bail since November 2011.
