A landslide in the Antop Hill area in Central Mumbai on Wednesday morning killed two people and injured three others. According to the fire brigade officials involved in the rescue operation, three to four more residents could be trapped inside the debris.

The area where landslide took place consists mainly of huts and due to narrow roads, the rescue vehicles could not reach to the spot immediately. By that time, residents along with the help of civic officials had started manually digging the debris.

According to the officials from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) the residents of the area were advised to vacate the area during the rainy reason and a possibility of a landslide had been indicated.
