15 Maoists surrender

Fifteen members of the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist) surrendered before police and two were arrested by the police in Bastar region of Chhattisgarh on Monday.

“Fifteen Maoists surrendered in presence of senior police officers in Dantewada district of Bastar on Monday. The surrendered Maoists include Lakhma Vette, who was involved in Jiram Ghati attack on Congress party convoy last year,” informed Bastar rage Inspector General of Police, Mr.SRP Kalluri.
