1.27 lakh people rescued

Over 1.27 lakh persons have been rescued so far by the armed forces and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) from the flood-hit areas of Jammu and Kashmir.

Thirteen tonnes of water purifying tablets and six water filtration plants capable of filtering 1.2 lakh bottles per day have already reached Srinagar. Engineering stores, including suction pumps from Vishakhapatnam, are also being sent.
