Abdul Halim, arrested in connection with the investigation into the twin blasts in Kozhikode in March 2006, was brought here on Tuesday as part of the probe.Halim was taken to Maidanappally where the bombs used for the blasts had been tested and also to Panur where the group led by Thadiyantavide Nazir, who is still at large, had held classes.

Halim is an associate of Nazir, who is part of the terror networks operating in the State.

Meanwhile, Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate V.K. Rajan ordered the police to produce on September 7 three of the 23 accused in the case registered at the Edakkad police station by the joint investigation team. They are: Sarfraz Nawas, who is in the custody of the Bangalore police; Sainuddin, who is in the custody of Ahmedabad police; and Mohammad Faizal, now arrested by the JIT in the case.
