Two NATO soldiers killed in Afghanistan

December 23, 2013 06:05 pm | Updated 06:06 pm IST - Kabul

Two soldiers with the NATO-led international coalition were killed on Monday in separate Taliban attacks in Afghanistan, the military said.

The coalition’s International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said one of the soldiers was killed in a “direct fire attack by enemy forces” in southern Afghanistan, but did not provide further details.

Another soldier died in a similar attack in eastern Afghanistan.

ISAF tends not to release the nationality of casualties before their own country makes an announcement.
