A West Virginia man suspected in four killings in separate shootings has been found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after an hours-long manhunt, police said on Monday.

Jody Lee Hunt, 39, was found in the woods in Monongalia County, state police spokesman Lt. Dennis Johnson said.

Earlier, state police spokesman Lt. Michael Baylous said Hunt was wanted in two shootings in the Westover area and the other the same day in the Cheat Lake area in Monongalia County.

According to public records, Berkshire filed a domestic violence case against Hunt in November. Court records also indicated there were no protective orders currently in place for Berkshire.
