Subianto rejects Indonesian presidential poll result

Indonesian presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto rejected the result of the country’s election, citing widespread fraud, just hours before an official announcement from the Election Commission.

“We reject the 2014 presidential election that was legally flawed and therefore we withdraw from the ongoing process,” Mr. Subianto said.

The Commission was later Tuesday expected to declare Mr. Subianto’s rival, Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo, as the winner of the July 9 poll.
