At least 15 people were killed and 73 injured on Tuesday in a series of blasts in the southern Iraqi city of Hilla, security officials said.
Seven car bombs detonated consecutively in the city centre, they added.
Car bombs have been one of the most deadly weapons used by insurgents in Iraq in recent years.
According to United Nations estimates, 8,868 people were killed in violence in 2013 — Iraq’s highest annual death toll in five years.
