Swedish police say they are looking for perpetrators involved in the weeklong riots in Stockholm suburbs that have resulted in over 220 reported crimes.

Summing up a week of violence and destruction, police spokesman Kjell Lindgren said around 60 people have been detained, suspected of various crimes, although, most of them have been released awaiting charges.

The unrest in the Stockholm suburbs, which has now largely subsided, was sparked by perceived police brutality after officers shot and killed a knife-wielding man, who had locked himself in his apartment.
