Officials say a bomb left on a Baghdad minibus on Tuesday and a suicide truck bomb have killed seven people.

A police officer said the minibus bomb killed five commuters and wounded 25 in Sadr City, a Shia-majority district in the city’s east. Another police office said a suicide bomber set off his explosives-laden truck after passing a police checkpoint in the town of Tarmiyah to the north of the Iraqi capital, killing a policeman and a civilian. Nine were wounded.

Two medical officials confirmed the casualties on the condition of anonymity.

The two separate attacks followed a particularly bloody day that left more than 70 people dead.
