At least 44 injured after trains collide in Switzerland

Police in western Switzerland said at least 44 people have been injured when two passenger trains collided head-on.

Vaud canton (state) police spokesman Jean-Christophe Sauterel said rescue operations are still under way late Monday at the site on a regional line about 50 kilometres southwest of the capital, Bern.
