Spain’s Interior Ministry says Spanish and Moroccan police have arrested seven suspected members of a group that allegedly recruited female jihadis to send to the Iraqi—Syrian front.

A Ministry statement said four women, including one minor, and a man were arrested in Spain while two men were arrested in the Moroccan town of Fnideq.

The Ministry said the arrests in Spain took place in Barcelona on the mainland, and in Ceuta and Melilla, Spain’s north African enclaves.

Spain has arrested dozens of suspected jihadi militants and recruiters in recent years, especially in Ceuta and Melilla.
