11 killed in fire accident in China

At least 11 people were killed and four others injured in a major fire at a warehouse in Beijing’s southeast.

The fire was noticed last night at the warehouse in Xiaowuji of Chaoyang District with flames stretching to more than 500 square meters.

At least 11 people were killed and four others were injured, state-run Xinhua news agency said.

The fire was put out at around 11 p.m., firefighters said. Two owners of the warehouse were taken into custody by police.

Police said they were investigating the cause.
