At least 11 people were killed and 20 injured on Friday when a truck crashed into a minibus coming from the opposite direction in Argentina’s Mendoza province, media reported.

The truck rammed head-on into the minibus, carrying some 28 people, en route from Cordoba to Mendoza on the national highway. Both vehicles caught fire immediately after the crash, Xinhua quoted local daily El Clarin as saying.

“We are seeing burned, unrecognisable bodies,” said Gabriela Sosa, a journalist.

Foreign tourists were among the injured, including two children, the report said, adding that the injured were taken to hospitals in Mendoza.
