Flooding triggered by two typhoons left six people dead and six missing in China, state media reported on Saturday.
Typhoons Damrey and Saola made landfall in China within hours of each other, with Saola sweeping in Friday morning in Fuding in the south-eastern province of Fujian.
Damrey, which hit some nine hours earlier, killed one person and left five missing when a bridge was toppled by floods in Dalian, capital of Liaoning province, the Xinhua news agency reported.
Flooding had forced the evacuation of 88,773 people in Liaoning, the agency reported, and 932,000 residents in the provinces of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian and Shandong.
Railway service between the Liaoning provincial capital Shenyang and the port city of Dalian was suspended after a section was submerged underwater at about 2 am on Saturday, the agency said.
