Two soldiers of the Pakistan Army were killed while trying to stop suicide bombers from attacking their camp in South Waziristan on Wednesday. On being detected, the suicide bombers rammed their explosives-laden vehicle on the gate of the camp; triggering an explosion and killing the soldiers on guard in the process.

No organisation had claimed responsibility for the attack on the Zeri Noor camp till late in the evening. Details of the incident were sketchy as there is no media presence in these tribal areas. Despite the sizeable presence of the military in South Waziristan, terrorists still have safe havens there and the area is pounded at regular intervals by the CIA-operated drones.
