Three people die in Nepal bomb explosion

Three people from a same family, including two teenagers were killed in southern Nepal when a bomb, suspected to be a left over from Maoist insurgency, went off today, police said.

The incident took place at Sundarbasti in Chitwan district. Three people of the same family died while two were critically injured, police said. The situation of the injured is critical, Kantipur reported.

The police suspect that the bomb must have been left unattended on the field during the Nepal’s civil war, police added.

Reportedly, his children brought the bomb from a nearby forest mistaking for something else. Police are looking into the incident.
