Police say three Indians have been killed and four Filipinos injured when a pickup truck smashed into a bus in the northern Philippines.

Police superintendent Baltazar Israel says Indian nationals Kumas Sandeep, Sangeet Sharma and Joginder Singh died when their truck hit head on with the bus at a curve on the highway in Isabela province’s Ilagan township.

The bus driver and three passengers were injured in late Thursday’s crash.

Israel says the Indians were residents of the province and Sharma, the driver of the pickup, was married to a Filipino woman.
