After the announcement of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj’s three-day goodwill visit to Bangladesh from June 25, Bangladesh Foreign Minister A.H. Mahmood Ali said it would open “a new era” in Dhaka-Delhi ties.

He and his Indian counterpart would discuss “a whole range of bilateral issues,” Mr. Ali told journalists on Sunday.

This will be Ms. Swaraj’s first “stand-alone” visit abroad as External Affairs Minister under the Modi government.
