The Electric Supply authority has stopped power supply to BNP leader Khaleda Zia’s office in Dhaka, from where she is directing the violent agitation which has already claimed 41 lives crippling crippled hundreds, mostly in petrol bomb attacks.
The law enforcers also nabbed the party’s joint secretary general Rizvi Ahmed, who has reportedly been enjoying blessings of Ms. Khaleda’s elder son Tarique Rahman.
This came hours after a top leader of the country’s transport owners and workers, also Shipping Minister, Shajahan Khan, threatened that water and electricity lines of Ms. Khaleda’s office will be cut off if she did not withdraw violent blockade which has been hitting the transport sector fatally .
