Nepal’s Prime Minister Sushil Koirala expanded his Cabinet on Tuesday, marking a step towards the country’s long-delayed Constitution drafting process.
The 19 new Ministers appointed by Mr. Koirala include both members of his Nepali Congress party and key coalition partner the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist-Leninists (UML).
The new Ministers took part in a ceremony at the presidential palace, where they took an oath of office and secrecy.
The Cabinet expansion had suffered delays as the coalition partners argued over which party would take on the key Home Affairs Ministry.
