Indus Commission to visit India

The Pakistan Water Commission for Indus will visit India for four days from Saturday, to discuss mainly the four hydro power projects on the river Chenab.

Mirza Asif Baig, who is heading the team, told The Hindu on Friday that design issues of the four projects, including those related to spillway, intake and pondage will be on the agenda. The four projects being built by India on the Chenab are aimed at generating over 2000 MW of energy and include the 850 MW Ratle, and Miyar dams.
