The case of the controversial video clip allegedly featuring actor Meera and Capt Naveed is getting curiouser. Dawn reported that on Monday a sessions court in Lahore ordered the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to file a case against the couple for the video clip which was uploaded on the social media.

Earlier this month, court had ordered a case to be registered against the two after they repeatedly failed to appear in court for the hearing. During Tuesday’s hearing the police reportedly said that the FIA had the jurisdiction to file a complaint.

The matter was brought to the court’s attention through a petition which demanded action against Ms. Meera. Her lawyers have denied the authenticity of the video and said it was motivated to damage her reputation. She said in a news report that it was a conspiracy to undermine her initiative to construct a hospital.
