Chinese Foreign Minister in Nepal

Foreign Minister of China, Wang Yi, arrived in Kathmandu on Thursday for a three-day visit during which he would meet high-level Nepal political and government officials, reports said.

Minister Wang is scheduled to hand over medical equipment worth NRs 200 million (approximately INR 180 million) to the Civil Service Hospital at New Baneshwar which has been built with the Chinese government’s assistance.

On Friday, the Chinese Foreign Minister and his team would hold bilateral talks with Nepal’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Mahendra Bahadur Pandey and the ministry officials.

During the next two days, Mr. Wang would meet President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav and Prime Minister Sushil Koirala as well leaders of major political parties.
