Security forces are under fire again while carrying out quake relief operations in Balochistan.

On Wednesday, two soldiers were killed while one was injured in five attacks.

The relief operation in the Awaran area which is the base of the guerilla forces in Balochistan has come under fire from the beginning. The army is not popular here after it was sent in to deal with the nationalist uprising.

While the Balochistan government is taking pains to say no one from the government has been injured or targeted, even the Chief Minister’s vehicle and the helicopter carrying the head of the Pakistan Disaster Management Authority and senior army officials had come under rocket fire.

Reports said a suicide bomber killed eight at Chaman on the Afghan border.
