Six women injured in acid attack in Pakistan

Six women were injured in an acid attack in Pakistan’s Baluchistan province, a week after six other women sustained injuries in two similar incidents.

The attack took place in Tang area of Pishin district and was a result of old enmity, Deputy Commissioner Bashir Bazai was quoted as saying by the Dawn .

“Four men sprayed acid on women inside the house. There were no men inside the house when the culprits’ relatives targeted women,” he said.

Fortunately, the faces of the women were saved but their feet were injured in the attack, he added.

The injured women were rushed to a hospital and were later discharged as their condition improved. No arrest has been made so far, the report said.
