Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari faced yet another embarrassment on Friday as Attorney General Anwar Mansoor Khan put in his papers in protest against the non-cooperation of Law Minister Babar Awan and his Ministry.

Talking to reporters after submitting his resignation to Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani, the Attorney General said his decision was final irrespective of whether the government accepted his resignation or not.

Mr. Khan's resignation comes a day after he told the Supreme Court that he was having trouble in reopening the money laundering cases involving Mr. Zardari because the Law Ministry was not furnishing the information he needed to complete the legal procedure.
