Islamabad on Tuesday rejected Indian Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde’s allegation that terrorists were being pushed into India by Pakistan and cautioned that such statements could vitiate the atmosphere between the two countries.
In a short statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said these ``allegations and insinuations’’ were totally baseless and unfounded. “Such unsubstantiated statements are not very helpful in creating a conducive environment necessary for improving the relationship between our two countries.’’
Further, the spokesman said that if the Indian Home Minister had information or evidence to substantiate his allegations, then he should share it with Pakistan. On Sunday, Mr. Shinde had said there was credible evidence to show that Pakistan was trying to stir up trouble in India by helping terrorists to infiltrate into the country.
