Parts of Oslo central station were evacuated Wednesday after a suspicious suitcase was found near one of the tracks, Norwegian news agency NTB reported.

Bomb disposal experts have been dispatched to the scene, the report said.

The level of alert has been heightened in Oslo following last week’s twin attacks that claimed 76 lives, of which eight were killed in a bomb explosion near the government offices.

A 32-year-old Norwegian man, Anders Behring Breivik, was Monday remanded in custody on suspicion of the attacks.
