The United States has said there is no change in its visa policy with regard to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
“Our position on the visa issue hasn’t changed at all,” State Department spokesperson Victoria Nuland told reporters at her daily news conference on Wednesday.
Ms. Nuland was responding to questions on the letter written by Congressman Joe Walsh to the Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, that the U.S. Government reverse its 2005 decision not to issue U.S. visa to Mr. Modi.
The letter by Mr. Walsh was written about a fortnight ago.
“If we do respond, it’ll be along familiar lines,” Ms. Nuland said.
In a statement, the Indian American Muslim community demanded the State Department should not change its 2005 policy on Mr. Modi’s visa.

Because of appreciable Islamic unity in US as well as over the
world,it is out of fear that US is trying to appease Muslim

as Modi is in office. Bury UPA and cultivate good relation with China
to slap U.S.
Modi do not need USA Visa to prove His Ability.. He has done it through his action
and development in Gujarat. Secondly, I believe as a policy maker, Modi should kick
out US company and establishment from Gujarat to make European, Japanese and
ASAEN countries to Invest... And then US will come to his home and give Visa Home
delivery as Pizza Delivery.
The US is not a great country that everyone is dying to visit. If they are not willing to issue a visa to Modi due to the silly demands of someone, its their loss. He is doing great development in his state. The whole issue is blown out of proportion. The US has also committed many crimes against Muslims in Afghanistan, wonder why the community is asking the US to act on Modi. If these Muslims are so concerned about their community, they should leave the US first.
It does not matter to Modi if US chooses not to issue a visa to him. His popularity is not going to fade away. I am sure many US companies must be standing in the queue to meet Modi & invest in Gujarat. Thus for making money they need Modi. But they can’t issue visa to him. In that way it is hypocrisy by the US.
i appreciate the stand of america regarding visa for modi, who has committed crime against humanity and successfully cover up the proves.
What hell is going on with Muslims? Narendra Modi is brilliant leader and also a roll model. Why USA is taking such a nasty decision. If USA come to know the truth then they feel how great Modi is?
