Nepal Cabinet to meet at Everest

The Government of Nepal is holding a historic Cabinet meeting later on Friday at Kalapatthar of the Everest region at an altitude of more than 17,000 ft.

Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and 23 Ministers will be attending the meeting at the Everest Base Camp that is expected to last about 20 minutes. To acclimatise themselves, the Ministers reached Lukla on Thursday.

The Cabinet would endorse a document on climate issues followed by a press meet at Syangoche to be broadcast live by Nepal Television.
