As the deadline to present the Constitution for Nepal is fast approaching, the major Opposition party, the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist), has announced it would launch its own Constitution on May 29, the Republic Day. Maoist spokesperson Dina Nath Sharma told reporters on Sunday that his party would release the people's Constitution on May 29, a day after the earlier stipulated deadline to present a new constitution.

They would be presenting the draft of the Constitution they have submitted at the Constituent Assembly.
