Amidst walkout by the Maldivian Democratic Party of ousted President Mohammed Nasheed, the Parliament here on Wednesday ratified the appointment of the Vice-President and Cabinet Ministers.
With a strength of 46 MPs including the Speaker, the Parliament unanimously approved the Cabinet appointments made by President Mohammed Waheed, including that of Mohamed Waheeduddin as Vice-President.
Before the voting began, all MDP MPs, except one, walked out in protest. MDP has 32 MPs altogether.
