A fresh round of talks on resolving the dispute over Iran’s nuclear programme is set to begin in Vienna Monday.

The negotiations between Iran and six world powers — Britain, China, France, Russia, the United States and Germany — are aimed at ending the decade-long row over Iran’s nuclear activities.

Late Sunday, a German delegation met Iranian officials for two hours of talks, in which they discussed drawing up a draft agreement in Vienna, Iranian media reported.

“The talks were good and important for the next round of negotiations,” said Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

Iranian President Hassan Rowhani said Saturday that a nuclear deal between Iran and the West was possible within the next five weeks.
