The score puts her in top 1% of brightest people in Britain
A 12-year-old Indian-origin girl in the U.K. has stunned everyone after she scored an incredible 162 in her IQ test — a score even higher than that of Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking.
Neha Ramu, daughter of an Indian doctor couple, achieved a score of 162 on a Mensa IQ test — the highest score possible for her age.
The score puts the teen in the top 1 per cent of the brightest people in the U.K. and means that she is more intelligent than physicist Hawking, Microsoft founder Bill Gates and scientist Einstein, who are all thought to have an IQ of 160.
“Neha scored 162 on the Cattell IIIB test, putting her within the top 1 per cent of people in the country,” a spokesman for British Mensa said.
Neha’s parents lived in India before moving to Britain when their daughter was seven, The Telegraph reported.
She took the test for Mensa, a society for people with high IQs, and achieved a perfect score of 280/280 — the maximum possible score for someone under the age of 18.
“I am so proud of her. Although she’s been doing well at these kinds of tests for sometime now, this is just marvellous. I can’t express the feeling,” her mother Jayashree said.
“I’m really, really happy because I found the test quite hard and I wasn’t really holding out much hope that I’d be a member of Mensa,” Neha said.

Congratulations Ms. Neha on your outstanding achievement. People like
you make India Proud. Indian Albert Einstein is about to emerge very
soon.
You speak of "Indian origin girl". Einstein was of German origin. So what?
The inventor of poison gas was a Prussian Jew, serving in the Kaiser's Army.
The main inventors of the atomic bomb were German Jewish woking in USA. Their origin is
forgotten.
Neither India, nor UK has any right to be proud of this girl's IQ. Her parents are and should
be pleased, and no doubt they hope that she will fulfil her potential.
A British newspaper sponsored Zola Budd's entry in to Uk, just for the sake of an Olympic
Gold Medal. What a base motive.
T
My congrwtulations to the girl and her family for her her high IQ score. But please
stop sensationalizing by making tall claims. The Cattell test scores can only be compared
among those who appear for that partivular test. To the best of my knowledge Einstein never
did appear for this test, and his IQ figures are at best just an estimate.
One should not depend on the standardized test that measures intelligence. Its sole function is to keep psychologist and financially support the standardized test industry, but not to measure intelligence. The true intelligence comes from how one solves problems when no known solutions are provided. In this regards, prominent scientist have done a remarkable job. In close to real life, Gandhiji had done a lot to empower every Indian through simple power of boycott. This does not require intelligence, but requires creativity, and be in position to challenge the staus quo. Scientific version is by establishing new laws of nature.
