Hundreds of fuel tankers were torched by a rebel attack in the province of Kabul, police said on Saturday.
At least 400 fuel tankers burned after Taliban fighters fired four rockets at a logistic compound in Paghman district of the capital, said Hashmat Stanekzai, a spokesman for the Kabul police.
“The incident occurred in a parking area in Chawk-e-Arghandi at 10:30 p.m. [1800 GMT] on Friday night. As a result around 400 fuel tankers were torched,” he said.
Mr. Stanekzai said there were no human causalities in the incident.
Taliban rebels claimed responsibility for the attack, saying dozens of people had died.
