Ensure equal treatment for all, MQM tells Nawaz

Pakistan’s Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has urged Nawaz Sharif to ensure equal treatment towards all provinces of the country and welfare of the masses without any discrimination, Radio Pakistan reported Sunday.

Felicitating the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and its chief on winning general elections, MQM chief Altaf Hussain in a message called upon Mr. Sharif to make sincere efforts in ensuring prosperity and development of Pakistan after assuming power.

The PML—N emerged as the largest political party in Saturday’s general polls with 117 of the 272 parliamentary seats while Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) remained at the second and third positions respectively, Online news agency reported citing unofficial results late night.

Sharif’s PML—N requires 136 seats to win a simple majority, as official results were due to be declared till last report.
