America stands united in condemning hate and evil in all its forms, US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday as he broke his silence on the fatal Kansas shooting in which an Indian techie was killed.
He was speaking at his first presidential address to the Congress.

08: 55 a.m.: President Donald Trump says he’s ordered the Homeland Security Department to create an office to serve American victims of crimes committed by immigrants.
Mr. Trump says the office will be called “VOICE” short for Victims Of Immigration Crime Engagement. There were audible groans and sounds of surprise from people in the audience when Trump said the name of the new office.
He says the U.S. must support law enforcement and support the victims of crime. He says the new office will provide a voice to people ignored by the media and “silenced by special interests.”

08: 25 a.m.: "We must provide the men and women of the U.S. Military with the tools they need to prevent war. My budget will increase funding for our veterans. Our Veterans have delivered for this nation. Now we must deliver for them," Mr. Trump says.
08: 15 a.m.: Education is the civil rights issue of our time. I am calling for an education bill that funds school choice for disadvantaged youth, Mr. Trump says. "Every American child should be able to grow up in a safe community, to attend a great school, and to have access to a high-paying job."
08: 05 a.m.: On healthcare: Mr. Trump says he proposes tax credits and expanded health savings accounts for people to purchase health insurance.
