Indonesian police say DNA tests have confirmed terrorist leader Noordin Top was killed days ago in a shootout with police.
National Police spokesman Nanan Sukarna said on Saturday that DNA tests supported the findings of an earlier fingerprint identification.
Noordin, who police say is responsible for a string of deadly bombings in the country since 2002, died Thursday after a gun battle at a safe house in central Java.
