China is asking developed countries to show “more sincerity” in climate negotiations as the U.N. conference in Copenhagen nears its end.

A Foreign Ministry spokeswoman told a regular briefing on Thursday that developed countries must show more sincerity on the issues of funding, technology and emissions targets.

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao is scheduled to make a speech on the final day of the conference on Friday.

Disagreements between developing and developed countries are dimming hopes that they can reach a deal in Copenhagen on controlling global warming.
