Chadian forces enter last rebel-held town in Mali

Soldiers from Chad on Tuesday entered the last rebel-held town in northern Mali, the Defence Ministry in Paris said.

“There are 1,800 Chadian forces who entered the town (Kidal) today to secure it,” ministry officials said.

More French paratroopers had also arrived to boost forces at the airport the French secured last week.
