Iraqi officials say a car bomb has exploded in a Shia city south of Baghdad, killing 11.
Police and hospital officials say the attack happened near a tent where Shia Muslims were gathered. They say 40 people were wounded in the blast.
The bomb went off around sundown, the time of the ceremonial breaking of the daily fast during the holy month of Ramadan.
The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorised to release the information to reporters.
