All that is left for Justin Trudeau to do is to put on a cape and fly. The tattoo-sporting, bhangra-dancing Canadian PM is the toast of the Internet, again, after he launched into a basic explanation of quantum computing at one of Canada’s top research facilities. He was at the Perimeter Institute to do a very politician-y job of announcing more funding for their work, when a journalist prefaced a question with, “I was going to ask you to explain quantum computing but...” Cue Trudeau. Of course, the explanation was High School level, but he did better than most who titter at the obvious pun on quantum state. Have a look yourself:
Trudeau addressed Canada's actions against the Islamic State militants directly afterward, although he did not announce any new measures.
The son of a former prime minister, Trudeau led his center-left Liberals to a majority victory in last year's election with a campaign that emphasized hope and optimism. His political opponents had attacked him as "just not ready" for the job, implying his best feature was his hair rather than his intellectual prowess.
