Britain’s Prime Minister David Cameron and his predecessor Gordon Brown will appear before the Leveson inquiry into media ethics to give evidence at hearings next week.
Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and Treasury chief George Osborne will also appear before the Leveson inquiry next week .
Mr. Cameron has been stung by his close ties to key suspects in Britain’s tabloid phone hacking scandal. His former communications chief has been arrested and charged by police, while two of his friends have also been charged with offences.
The inquiry, which Mr. Cameron commissioned to examine malpractices in the media and ties between politicians and the press, will hear evidence on Thursday.
