British officials say the British-flagged cargo ship Asian Glory has been hijacked off the coast of Somalia.

British officials say there are no British nationals on board the vessel but have not identified the nationalities of any of the crew.

Officials said Saturday the precise time and location of the hijacking are not yet clear.

There have been repeated acts of piracy against international shipping in the area in recent years.
