Law suit will seek over $100 million which the family will donate to the victims of the 2010 floods in the country

The Bhutto-Zardari family has threatened legal action against the Jang Group of Newspapers for reporting that President Asif Ali Zardari had married Tanveer Zamani – a U.S.-based doctor and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) activist – in Dubai.

Through a U.S.-based law firm, Pakistan's first family has dashed off a letter to the media house threatening legal action if the story was not retracted and apology tendered for libel, malicious publication and intentional infliction of emotional distress. According to the letter that has been sent to the media house, the law suit will seek over $100 million which the family will donate to the victims of the 2010 floods in t he country.
