Bannon questioned in Russia probe

The special counsel probing Russian meddling in the U.S. election and possible collusion by the Trump campaign questioned former White House adviser Steve Bannon this week, CNN reported on Thursday.

Mr. Bannon was questioned for hours by Robert Mueller’s team over the course of two days, CNN said, quoting a person with knowledge of the inquiry.

He responded to all the questions he faced, this person told CNN.

On Thursday, Mr. Bannon appeared before the House Intelligence Committee and thwarted lawmakers from both parties by invoking executive privilege as he declined to answer questions about the transition and his time in the White House.
